The National Law University (NLU) Delhi publishes the AILET 2027 syllabus on its official website - nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The syllabus of AILET 2027 comprises three subjects- English Language, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning. Unlike in CLAT, the AILET entrance exam syllabus does not have a Math section. From AILET 2024 onwards, NLU Delhi increased the time duration of the All India Law Entrance Test to 120 minutes to make the AILET exam syllabus student-friendly. The university has also removed the descriptive section from the AILET LLM syllabus. The All India Law Entrance Test syllabus 2027 is designed to assess whether the candidates possess the necessary skills such as critical reasoning and logical thinking, to make a career in law.
As mentioned above, the AILET UG syllabus 2027 consists of three major sections: English Language, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning. In the AILET syllabus 2027 there will be passages in each section followed by multiple-choice questions. The section-wise details of the NLU Delhi entrance exam syllabus are given below.

The AILET English language section tests the candidates' grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills. The English section includes topics such as grammar rules, reading comprehension, vocabulary usage, and essay writing. The English section carries around 30% weight in the AILET syllabus with 50 questions.
The AILET 2027 current affairs & general knowledge section evaluates candidates' knowledge of current affairs, static GK, and legal and political developments. The General Knowledge section covers history, geography, science, economics, politics, and legal events. The current affairs and GK section in the All India Law Entrance Test syllabus carries 20% weight. It has the least weight in the AILET 2027 syllabus, comprising 30 questions.
The syllabus of logical reasoning for the AILET 2027 section is designed to test the candidate's logical and critical thinking ability. The university also specifies that questions based on legal principles may be asked in this section. However, candidates are not required to have prior knowledge of law to answer any of the questions in the AILET syllabus 2027. The AILET logical reasoning syllabus 2027 assesses the candidate's understanding of legal principles, reasoning abilities, and problem-solving skills. The AILET logical reasoning syllabus has the maximum weight in the AILET syllabus 2027. There are 70 questions in this section. It includes topics like legal propositions, legal maxims, important court cases, and legal reasoning.

The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is conducted for admission to UG/ PG and Ph.D programmes at NLU Delhi. The AILET PhD syllabus 2027 includes topics related to Research Methodology and different branches of law and social sciences. There will be a total of 100 multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying 1 mark, in the AILET PhD 2027 question paper.
The AILET 2027 exam will be held offline through a pen and paper-based test mode. The AILET BA LLB exam will consist of 150 questions spread over three sections. All the questions in the AILET 2027 exam will be multiple-choice questions. There is a provision of negative marking in the AILET 2027 exam.
