The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) will soon release the detailed CLAT 2026 exam centres list in its official notification. The exam centres of CLAT 2026 comprise the cities where the authority will conduct the CLAT 2026 exam. A candidate can provide a maximum of 3 choices in the order of their preference. The consortium will allot the CLAT 2026 exam centre after considering the availability and the preferences submitted by the candidate. The scores of the Common Law Admission Test will be accepted by 24 NLUs and over 60 affiliated colleges. These colleges offer 5-year LLB and LLM programmes.

While filling out the CLAT 2026 application form, candidates can select up to three CLAT exam test centre preferences 2026. For a step-by-step process to select CLAT test centre preferences 2026, candidates can follow the steps mentioned below:

  • Log on to the official website of CLAT 2026: consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

  • Click on the “New Registration” tab and all the required details like name, address, email address, mobile number etc.

  • Log in to your CLAT account using your mobile number and password.

  • During the filling out the detailed application form, candidates will also be required to enter their test centre choices.

  • Enter your three exam centre choices in order of preference.

  • Fill in all the other details, enter NLU preferences, make application fee payment and click on the “Submit” button.

  • Your exam centre preferences have been successfully entered.

How to edit CLAT 2026 exam centre preferences?

The consortium of NLUs will open an online window to allow candidates to edit their exam city preferences. The process to edit CLAT exam centre preferences 2026 is described below:

  • Visit the official website of CLAT 2026: consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

  • Log in to your CLAT account using your mobile number and password.

  • In the dashboard, select the “Edit Application” button.

  • Move to the “Preferences” tab and make the required changes to your test centre preferences.

  • Click on the next button and tick mark the declaration form.

  • Click on the “Submit” button.

Important Instructions for CLAT 2026 Exam Centres

  • Candidates must enter their exam centre preferences very carefully. Once the online window to edit test centre preferences closes, no further changes will be allowed.

  • On the day of the exam, candidates must carry their admit card and a valid ID proof to get entry inside the CLAT exam centre.

  • Candidates are advised to reach the CLAT examination centre at least one hour before the commencement of the exam.

  • The CLAT 2026 exam will be conducted offline in pen and paper-based test mode. So candidates must carry two ball-point pens with them.

  • Candidates should not carry any prohibited items like phones, calculators, smart watches etc.

  • It is important that candidates listen and adhere to all the instructions given at the exam centre related to the admit card, frisking, attendance sheets etc.

The following documents and items are required to be carried at the CLAT 2026 exam centre:
