Other than NLUs, CLAT is also accepted by several government law schools. The most popular among those are the Faculty of Law, Delhi University and IIM Rohtak. Admission process of the top law colleges in India that are accepting CLAT

• The candidates must apply for the Common Law Admission Test conducted by the Consortium of NLUs. The CLAT application form for the test is released by the conducting body in the month of July.

• The CLAT is conducted once a year in December in offline mode. 

• Once the results of the entrance test are declared, the consortium conducts the CLAT counselling for the shortlisted candidates. 

• Candidates who appear in the counselling are considered for the seat allotment in the NLUs. 

• For other participating law colleges, the candidates have to apply directly to the respective college. The college grants admission to the candidates based on their CLAT scores.
