The Consortium of National Law Universities has delayed the CLAT 2025 counselling process. The release of the first CLAT 2025 seat allotment originally scheduled for December 2026 has been delayed. The CLAT 2025 counselling process has been delayed due to the court cases filed against NLU Consortium for alleged discrepancies in CLAT 2025 final answer key. The counselling process for CLAT 2025 will begin after the declaration of the CLAT 2025 revised result. However, the exam authority will release the revised CLAT 2025 counselling schedule tentatively in the third or last week of March 2025.
Candidates who have a valid score in the Common Law Admission Test were allowed to register for CLAT 2025 counselling on its official website - consortiumofnlus.ac.in through their login by paying the registration fee and submitting NLU preferences. The CLAT 2025 counselling process is online which includes registration, application fee payment and seat allotment.
The CLAT 2025 admission process is conducted for admissions into 5-year LLB and LLM programmes of 24 NLUs, 1 private university, and 60+ affiliated colleges. CLAT 2025 was conducted on December 1, 2024. The CLAT 2025 revised result will be declared soon. The consortium will conduct the CLAT counselling 2025 process in 5 rounds.

Login to the CLAT 2025 account and validate the invitation for CLAT counselling 2025
Click on the “Make Payment” option
Provide the bank account details into which, refunds, if any will be processed.
Complete payment of the CLAT 2025 counselling registration fee
Upon the candidate receives the successful payment message, the CLAT 2025 counselling registration will be completed
Marksheet of Class 10th/12th/graduation (if applicable)
Transfer Certificate
Migration Certificate
Caste certificate (if applicable)
Income certificate (if applicable)
Domicile certificate (if applicable)

Candidates have to give their NLU preferences after the declaration of the result through their CLAT login. Candidates will have to provide a maximum of 15 preferences. Giving a maximum choice of NLU preference will increase the chances of admission in the CLAT counselling 2025. Candidates will get admission to those NLU that they have mentioned in their NLU preferences.

Select the NLUs in the order of preference
At the time of CLAT 2025 counselling, candidates will have to pay three types of fees. Candidates can check the CLAT 2025 counselling fees mentioned in the below table:
