NLU Meghalaya 5-year LLB & LLM Admission 2026: Application Form, Interview, Merit List, Selection Process
National Law University Meghalaya (NLU Meghalaya) has now been formally admitted as a member of the Consortium of National Law Universities. This means that to be admitted to its 5-year LLB and LLM programs, candidates must appear for the CLAT exam. However, for the 2026 admissions, CLAT 2026 scores will be used but the university will conduct its own counselling process. From academic year 2027-2028, candidates will be admitted through the centralised CLAT counselling process. CLAT 2026 exam was conducted on December 7, 2025. The consortium declared the CLAT 2026 results on December 16, 2025. The university offers BA LLB, BBA LLB, BS LLB and LLM in Corporate Law. Earlier, the university conducted its own entrance exam, NLU MEG PAT. NLU Meghalaya Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria
As per the latest notification released by NLU Meghalaya, it is now part of the consortium. Therefore, to be eligible for NLU Meghalaya, candidates will be required to appear for the CLAT 2026 exam. They must submit the CLAT 2026 scores while applying for the law programs.
NLU Meghalaya Application Form 2026
The NLU Meghalaya application form 2026 is yet to be released. As CLAT scores are acceptable for 2026 admissions candidates must provide the details in the application form. They can visit the official website of the university to fill out the NLU Meghalaya application form 2026. They are likely to open the application portal in January 2026.

NLU Meghalaya will accept the CLAT 2026 scores for admission for the academic year 2026. Just for the current year the admissions will not follow the consortium's centralised CLAT 2026 counselling process. Therefore, NLU Meghalaya is not yet listed among the CLAT 2026 participating universities. NLU Meghalaya will soon open the application portal and start its counselling process. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their CLAT 2026 ranks and the admission process will begin.
NLU Meghalaya Merit List 2026
The university will notify if it continues the interview round before the counselling process for 2026. The university publishes the merit list for NLU Meghalaya 2026 on its official website. It includes the selected candidates for UG and PG law programmes. Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete other admission formalities, such as payment of fees. The university will inform the candidates about the admission process at their registered email ID.
