CLAT 2025 Revised Result: Understanding Shifts in Merit List for CLAT Rank 1000 to 5000 After SC Judgement
The CLAT 2025 SC judgement was delivered on May 7, 2025. The Consortium of NLUs is now expected to release the CLAT revised result soon. The SC judgement can have a major impact on a candidate's rank and affect the admission chances to a particular NLU. It has revised the answers to four questions in CLAT 2025. In this article, let’s try to understand how the revised result can shift a candidate’s rank between CLAT rank 1000 - 5000.
A CLAT rank between 1000 to 5000 puts the candidates in the top 10 percentile. However, it needs to be seen how this will change after the revised result and how candidates fare in the CLAT counselling process..Through the Common Law Admission Test, candidates will be admitted into 5-year LLB programmes of participating NLUs.

How the CLAT 2025 Score Changes in the Revised Result?
The Supreme Court has made revisions to four answers in the CLAT 2025 final answer key. Together these questions, along with one question that was changed by the Delhi HC can lead to an increase of up to 3.25 marks or a decrease of up to 4.25 marks. The change in score due to the revisions in the answer key is given below.

How CLAT Rank 1000-5000 Will Shift in Revised Result?
The shift in the CLAT merit list for rank 1000 to 5000 in the revised result in the best and worst case scenario is given below. The data shows that a candidate’s position can shift upwards by up to 1600 ranks and shift downwards by up to 2700 ranks.
