CLAT 2025 Counselling to begin soon; Result Hearing set for March 3

CLAT 2025 Counselling Details

The overall attendance percentage for CLAT 2025 was 96.33%. Of the candidates who appeared for CLAT 2025, 57% are Females, 43% are Males, and 9 candidates are Transgender. The Common Law Admission Test was conducted on December 01 at 141 Test Centres in 25 States and 4 Union Territories across India. As per the notification on the official website of the Consortium of NLUs, “The fresh calendar is to be announced after our SC appeal process and expected relief.”

• Once the new CLAT 2025 counselling dates are declared, only the eligible candidates will receive an email, SM, and an invitation on their CLAT candidate login portal to participate in the admission counselling process.

• The CLAT 2025 counselling will be conducted online. The candidates will have to log in to the official website using the credentials generated during the registration process to apply for the counselling process.

• Candidates will need to enter a minimum of 15 preferences and will be allowed to add or change the preferences before the registration deadline.

• General category candidates will have to pay Rs. 30,000 and the ST/ SC/ OBC/ BC/ EWS/ PWD categories candidates are required to pay Rs. 20,000.

• There will be five counselling rounds in total. Candidates who are allotted seats can 'Freeze’, ‘Float’, or ‘Exit’ options in a counselling round.

• Candidates who are satisfied with the allotted seat or accept it, and are not interested in participating in further rounds of seat allocation/ counselling can ‘Freeze’ the seat allocation.

• Candidates who have not been allotted their first preference NLU and choose to leave ‘open’ the possibility of getting a higher preference NLU seat can choose the ‘Float’ option.

• Candidates who do not want to participate in the CLAT 2025 counselling process can choose to ‘Exit’ option to exit or leave the admissions counselling process.
