QnA related to TS LAWCET

Ask your question related to TS LAWCET

It is quite difficult to get top law colleges at this score even not the lowest cutoff university will allow students to pursue law at this score but lets hope for the best try college like kalatiya university college of law and Mahatma Gandhi law college which has low cutoff.

You are on a border line which is very close to last years cutoff at kalatiya university college of law and Mahatma Gandhi law college belonging to bc-e category you might get seat here if cutoff trends is same as last year but definitely you are not going to get osmania university and telangana university college of law because these colleges cutoff are always high.

Based on your situation, it seems there may have been some confusion regarding the eligibility criteria for non-local candidates in TS LAWCET. Generally, for state entrance exams like TS LAWCET, "non-local" candidates are those who are not residents of the state but have fulfilled specific residency requirements, such as living in the state for a certain number of years or completing a portion of their education there.

Since you are a native of Karnataka and currently live there, and you have only spent two years in Hyderabad for your PG studies from 2014-2016, you do not meet the residency requirements to be considered a "non-local" candidate for Telangana. The non-local category usually applies to those who have lived in Telangana for a specific duration, even if they are not native to the state.

As you are neither a local nor meet the residency criteria for non-local status in Telangana, it is likely that you are not eligible for TS LAWCET counseling. However, I recommend contacting the TS LAWCET authorities directly for clarification. They can provide specific guidance and confirm whether your rank allows you to participate in counseling under any special provisions or if there are any exceptions.

Hello there,

If you have a backlog from intermediate 2nd year but are qualified in TS LAWCET 2024, you can still apply for admission to a law college. Here's what you can do:

  1. Check College Requirements : Verify the specific admission requirements of the law colleges you are interested in. Some colleges might have conditions regarding backlogs.

  2. Provide Proof of Clearance : Ensure you clear the backlog before the start of the law course. You may need to provide proof of backlog clearance or a plan to clear it during the admission process.

  3. Contact Colleges : Reach out to the admissions offices of the colleges where you want to apply. They can give you guidance on how your backlog might affect your admission.

  4. Prepare Documents : Have all necessary documents ready, including proof of qualification and any certificates related to your backlog status.

Clearing the backlog before starting the law course will ensure that it does not impact your admission.
